The 11th Annual Sydney Chocolate Ball, by FSHD Global Research Foundation Ltd

It’s not often that chocolate, cryptocurrency, champagne and charity combine to create an exclusive opportunity for fine dining, and entertainment galore — all for a good cause!

The 11 thAnnual Sydney Chocolate Ball was held on Saturday 17 thSeptember 2022 at The Star Event Centre, Sydney.

The Sydney Chocolate Ball is considered the most decadent and entertaining charity gala in Sydney. With over 600 attendees this chocoholic black-tie gala proudly welcomes an array of corporate sponsors and supporters to come together to wine and dine over one very special evening. Emceed by Jamie Durie OAM, it was an indulgent night with celebrity chef Luke Mangan OAM’s Lindt chocolate-inspired menu, accompanied by a selection of exceptional Champagnes and dazzling entertainment.

Traditionally a sold-out event, our attendees are captains of industry, politicians, celebrities and a large number of corporate stakeholders.

The Sydney Chocolate Ball is the blue-ribbon annual fundraising event, supporting the FSHD Global Research Foundation.FSHD Muscular Dystrophy affects 1 in every 7,500 Australians. Often referred to as a ‘slow death disease’, FSHD can rob a person of the ability to walk, talk, eat, blink and smile. The FSHD Global Research Foundation is the only organisation in Australia focused on funding diagnostics, therapeutics and clinical trial readiness programs for the thousands of Australians living with this debilitating disease.

Zerocap is proudly partnering with FSHD Global Research Foundation to bring cryptocurrency-based fundraising into fruition and together with our friends at Pellar Technology, we have facilitated the minting of bespoke NFTs that were auctioned at the event. All tickets and auction prizes could also be purchased using crypto wallets, making this a unique and innovative fundraiser.

There was a range of cryptocurrency delights on offer on the night, including a Zerocap Digital Asset Portfolio with ongoing services valued at $25,000 (approx.). In addition, 100% of Zerocap fees for the first 12 months were donated to FSHD.

In total, FSHD raised $1.3 million dollars in the event.

A holographic experience for all attending were also to life by Zerocap and Humense. Humense is a communication network and Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Reality (VR) platform using volumetric video. Humense enables you to experience embodiment and shared impact.

Finally, as an ongoing commitment, Zerocap will donate part of the fees generated from anyone onboarded via FSHD Global Research Foundation from the Sydney Chocolate Ball event or through the direct networks of the Foundation.
